A graceful antique ring dating to the late 19th Century. This beautiful piece is French in origin and features a striking natural emerald set in a heart-shaped gold frame. The emerald is a soft square cut (approx. 0.10ct) with gentle internal inclusions typical of the stone, and a rich, vibrant green hue.
The ring is designed in the duchesse style, with delicate rose and old cut diamonds fanning out from the centre. The stones are set in platinum over 18ct gold, creating a shimmering contrast of tones. There is a romantic feel to the shape floral and regal at once making this a particularly special piece on the hand.
The ring is hallmarked with the French eagle’s head punch for 18ct gold and is in lovely antique condition. A wonderful one-of-a-kind heirloom piece.
