Vintage (1944) Sculptural Bracelet in 18K Gold

A sculptural 18K gold bracelet from 1944, made by Gustaf Dahlgren & Co in Malmö, Sweden. The front is formed as an interlaced knot of flowing leaves and scrolls - set on a soft matte bangle engraved with tiny flowers. At around 18 grams of 18K gold, it has that satisfying, substantial feel on the wrist.`11
Inside, a hand-engraved dedication to “Margit 1953”  gives it the feeling of a kept promise from another life.

The hallmarks form their own little paragraph: GD&Co for Gustaf Dahlgren & Co, the Malmö mark, the Swedish control stamps, and the date code S8 for 1944. All the bureaucratic romance of precious metals is present and correct.
